Unit was shipped down to our works for repairs.  Main stator and rotor windings were completely overhauled.  Excitation stator and rotor windings were rewired.  Rotating diode assembly unit was refurbished.  Controls were repaired and rewired.  A new voltage regulator was adapted and fitted for this system.  Unit was load tested at our works and shipped back to the Power Plant.

Leroy 2250kVA On board inspection

Iberica Electrical was flown out via helicopter to a vessel stranded out at sea.  The shaft alternator had suffered a drive side bearing collapse and an investigation was carried out to determine the cause of the failure.  All components were examined.  Windings were tested and examined using a borescope.  A full report on the findings and recommended repairs were submitted to the client.


Hitzinger 650kVA

Unit was rewired completely (main stator and rotor, as well as the excitation stator and rotor windings).  New winding PT100 units were fitted, as well as bearing PT100 units.  Unit was load tested at our works with an adapted voltage regulator.  Unit was commissioned on board the vessel.  Two units were rewired completely for this vessel.

Unit is of a dual bearing design.  The main stator core was completely damaged due to the extent of the blow.  A new main core was designed and manufactured.  The main stator and rotor windings were completely rewired.  New main rotor securing clamps were designed and manufactured.  The excitation stator and rotor windings were completely rewired.  New rotating diode assembly and voltage regulator units were fitted.  Unit was load tested at our works and shipped to Cameroon.
